June 28th Wildcat PTO and Library Fundraiser

We lucked out with another sunny day for our farmers market on June 28th! It had rained many days, including overnight, leading up to the market. We had a lot going on! Ardys Mae Coffee and Dessert trailer set up, Wildcat PTO hosted a Chalk the Walk contest, Humboldt Public Library was doing a foundation fundraiser, and Joe Hadar set up in front of Night Owl to sing some songs!

With all the rain we decided to leave vendors out of the plaza and let the Wildcat PTO have the sidewalk around the plaza. It kind of worked out perfectly to have it set up that way. They were judged by category and 5 grand prizes were given, with each contestant receiving a small prize. Every market passerby were given a bag of Humota popcorn and bottled water.

The Humboldt Public Library brought root beer floats for a free will donation towards their foundation. I didn't know until the end of the market that they also had limited edition prints for $5 or $10 depending on size you wanted. The prints are a Sumner Heman pen drawing of the library building. I believe the large is 11x14 and the small appears to be 5x7. I bought the 16th large print out of 100. If you're interested in one of your own get to the library to get one!
All of our vendors were set up on the North sidewalk and in parking spaces against the sidewalk. Kenny showed up for the first time this season with a table full of amazing produce!
