Yesterday was a beautiful kickoff to summer! The sun was shining and the morning was almost chilly before the wind showed up as it warmed up for the day.

We had a lot of different activities for kids to do! There were ballon animals (provided by Paul Gibson), mega bubbles (provided by Anna Gibson), a Photo Booth (provided by 2View Photo&Design), and chalk (provided by V&S Variety) to decorate the sidewalk. All activities were set up on the grass of the plaza.
If you participated in the Photo Booth you can download your images in the gallery at the end!
The Vendors (Set up East to West):

It was fun to see the kids getting into the activities! Paul Gibson (Anna's husband) is so good at making balloon animals! His jokes were top notch. Anna and Paul's three boys were manning the bubbles and kind of floated around wherever they could be helpful. They did so good and were able to get a lot of the shy kids to do activities they maybe wouldn't have done otherwise.
The bubbles were set up in the plaza in a kiddie pool with various pool toys and hula hoops to make big bubbles! Anna found a homemade recipe to use and it was awesome. Some of the biggest bubbles I've ever seen!
I wasn't as up to date on how all the vendors did this week as I was manning the Photo Booth. It looked like everyone had a good turnout; the Photo Booth definitely did! I had all kinds of fun props to choose from. The pizza and popsicle sunglasses were definitely the favorites. There were also colorful flower Lei necklaces, big paper cutouts, and fun floaties to pose with! The Humboldt Pool was kind enough to let us borrow one of their lounger chairs to complete the set up!
All the photos from yesterday can be downloaded and shared however you wish, courtesy of 2View Photo&Design.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Humboldt Farmer's Market! It's so much fun to see everyone spending their Saturday morning walking around, enjoying downtown. As the season progresses we're wanting to get more and more vendors, including produce vendors. If you or anyone you know is interested click here or email us at HumboldtFarmersMarket@gmail.com.

We hope everyone has had a safe, fun holiday weekend and has gotten to spend it with those you love while remembering those who have gone!
See you June 10th for our next Humboldt Farmer's Market!
Until then stay safe, be kind and we'll talk soon!
