2026 Market Rules/Guidelines:
  • Markets will be every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, beginning in May and ending in September.

  • Vendor fee will be $7 per market day, or $65 for the entire season. There are currently 10 dates planned for the 2025 market season. These fees will go toward printing and advertising, and other expenses incurred on behalf of the market. Fees are collected in person at each market. If you are asked for the fee ahead of the market, it is a scam!

  • We are a rain or shine market, but may cancel/postpone for severe/very windy weather. We will post about changes in the Facebook Vendor Group, via email, and on KHBT when possible.

  • We will post in the Facebook group in the weeks leading up to the markets, asking who plans to attend. If we do not hear from a vendor about their attendance plan by the Wednesday of market weeks, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to advertise them or get them their desired stall placement.

  • Vendors are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses or permits for their product(s), and to maintain a familiarity with all state and federal regulations pertinent to their product(s).

  • Vendors must provide their own tables, tents, chairs, change, bags, etc.

  • We will try to keep our vendor placement as consistent as possible, but there is no guarantee vendor stalls will be in the exact same spot for each market.

  • Once set up, vendors must move their vehicles off of Sumner Ave. to make room for patrons’ vehicles. Exceptions may be made for vendors that use their vehicle as part of their display.

Other "common sense" rules/guidelines (TL;DR: just be a good human being):

  • Stall areas must be left as clean and tidy as they were prior to set up.

  • No abusive/offensive language, firearms, weapons, alcoholic beverages, or drugs will be allowed in the market. Anyone disturbing the peace will be asked to leave.

  • The Market Committee stresses cooperation and not competition. Disputes are to be resolved respectfully.

  • Vendor agrees to hold harmless the Humboldt Farmer’s Market Committee, its sponsors, patrons, members/affiliates, and the retailers of Sumner Ave. for any accidents, injury, theft, or other unforeseen events.

  • The City of Humboldt and the retailers of Sumner Ave. are not associated with and take no responsibility for the Humboldt Farmer’s Market.

  • Complaints against any participant in the Humboldt Farmer’s Market must be filed in writing to the Market Committee. Violators of Market Rules may be subject to disciplinary action.

How it works:

By filling out the vendor form, you will be added to our vendor email list.

ALL vendors on the email list are emailed around the Tuesday of a market week, asking for RSVPs. The vendor map will go out later that week to those that responded yes.

If you only plan to attend one or two markets and DO NOT want the regular emails, please let Sammi or Kelsey know. If so, you will be responsible for letting us know when you plan to attend by the Thursday of a market week.
