We're ALMOST there!

In our hearts it was fall at the last Humboldt Farmer's Market (Saturday, September 13th), but the weather had other plans. It may or may not have gotten up to 95°. Overall, it was a beautiful sunny day, especially since we started at a decent temperature.
It's not surprising that we've seen less foot traffic. We expect a decrease in shoppers this time of year. Once school starts there's flag football every Saturday in September. We understand how busy this time of year; we appreciate anyone who can still come down before the end of the season.

Joe Hadar joined us again, in front of Night Owl, singing some tunes. At one point I even heard a duet! We appreciate Joe and anyone who's come to the market to play some music!
The Girl Scouts were set up East of the Parley Finch Plaza statue. They're working towards raising money for a butterfly garden! Something we'll always have a soft spot for. It was fun to see them hand out their flyers and interact with people!
The craft was a take home one! We packed up our tote bags with a coloring page of our logo and a couple templates for butterfly masks. The designs were sent to us by Sarah Nizzi with The Xerces Society for Invertebrae Conservation. They're a fascinating organization bringing awareness to pollinators and what it takes to not only keep their populations but grow them by planting native plants. We hope to have Sarah out at some point next season to do a craft and teach us some more! We've seen her talk at the Humboldt County Conservation Pollinator Party the last 2 years and have learned a lot. If you're into gardening and pollinators of every kind it's worth attending in August.
We had a great group of vendors even though a few couldn't show up last minute due to illness. We even had a new vendor, Coalville Riverside Creations! They had some really cool laser cut and engraved products.

We have ONE MARKET LEFT of 2025!! Fall is fast approaching, so that means our season is winding down. Thank you to everyone who sets up, attends, donates, and enjoys our market! We could not do it without our community and all the support we receive. Special thanks to our sponsor: P. Kolar Bourbon Blades!
Join us one more time next Saturday, September 27th
8am-12pm
Located: 600 block Sumner Ave., downtown Humboldt, IA
Contact us: HumboldtFarmersMarket@gmail.com
Until then stay safe, be kind and we'll talk soon!
