ARTS FEST 2025

Our 3rd annual Arts Fest at the Humboldt Farmer's Market was Saturday, June 14th! It's one of our favorites every year! The weather was hot, hot, hot and not a cloud in sight...like 90° hot. Definitely a summer day for kids to be downtown crafting at our different crafting stations and selling at the Kids' Makers Market. All kid things started at 9am while our vendors were set up 8am-12pm. We blocked off the street, so we could spread out and not have to worry about all the kids with traffic.

The Kids' Makers Market is a part of Arts Fest that's organized by the Humboldt Parks and Recreation department. Kids 17 and younger get to show off their side hustles and sell their goods. This year they were set up in the street on the West side of the 600 block of Sumner Ave.
Next to the Kids' Makers Market we had most of the kids' crafting stations. The Humboldt LEC was set up in the street with water guns filled with paint and canvases for kids to shoot at. Inside The Finch Block we had the Humboldt Arts Council with face painting and a craft, Bank Iowa with dinosaur piggy banks to paint, and Nokomis Woodworking with scrap wood and wood glue craft! The Humboldt Public Library craft was set up under the Humboldt Mercantile awning. When I was walking around taking photos The Finch Block was a hum of sound. It felt like I was standing inside a bee hive. Amy from Bank Iowa said she thought about 70 or more kids were inside crafting. That's crazy awesome!
Around 10-10:30 Joe Hadar showed up with his guitar to jam for the last bit of the market. It's always fun when we can have live music going on.

Our Arts Fest sponsors were Boldt Nutrition and Lofty Lou. Boldt Nutrition had some flavors for Father's Day and ran a $1 special if you showed your market purchase at the register. Lofty Lou has been a vendor in the past and came back for Arts Fest this year! They set up their trailer full of one-of-a-kind items.
Speaking of vendors, we had another great group! We had more set up in the street this week and, as always, vendors along the North sidewalk and in the plaza. There was one vendor, T's Trendy Trinkets, set up in The Finch Block.
OUR VENDORS:

It was a busy day! By the time I got to taking photos a lot of our food vendors tables were selling out! We love to see that. It's great to see the community come down and support our market. If nothing else, it's a good excuse to get downtown, enjoy a Saturday morning walking around, getting fresh air, and chatting with each other! We've received a lot of compliments about our market, which means a lot, but I always tell people: we set up and hope people come out and shop our vendors. So far, our community is awesome enough to allow us to keep planning, organizing, and growing our Humboldt Farmer's Market!
Our next market is:
Saturday, June 28th
8am-12pm
We'll see you there!
