Memorial Day Saturday Market

Memorial Day weekend is always one we never know how busy we'll be. We know people like to take the long weekend to travel or at the very least have plans for. It rained quite a bit overnight that left standing water in the plaza, so we last minute placed those vendors in the sidewalk and in the and parking spaces on the north side of the 600 block. The weather during the market could not have been more perfect. We had a slightly chilly start with all sunshine and warmed up to 70ish°. Every time I looked around I could see many people walking around and shopping. A great sight to see!

I (2View Photo&Design) had some props set up at the base of the statue for our annual Welcome Summer photo booth! Most people opted to use their cell phones this year, but I was able to capture a few kiddos. All parents have permission to download their photo and print/upload as you please!

Joe Hadar stopped by and jammed for awhile in front of Night Owl. I told him afterwards that I think all the practice he's gotten at our market has worked! He's definitely gotten more confident in his playing over the years. It was nice to have a guitar playing in the background of the market.

Josie set up face painting for Moffitt Animal Shelter! She's done this in the past, and it's so awesome to see her give back and have fun doing it. There were a lot of painted faces walking around.

We had plenty of vendors set up again this week with some being new faces. Some of our vendors sold out surprisingly quick this week; we love to see that! Our sponsor for the week was one of our vendors, Triple C Livestock (first image below).

Our Vendors:

It's so great to see the variety of products our vendors have to offer. You can shop for most any occasion: stock up on meat and your favorite baked goods, get fresh eggs for the week, and find a present for that birthday coming up. We're so lucky to have a great community willing to come down and support our local vendors. Thank you for keeping up the support!

We'll do this all again in a few weeks for CONSERVATION DAY! The 2nd Saturday in June is the 13th. We'll be back downtown 8am-12pm. All of the kids activities start at 9am.

Until then stay safe, be kind and we'll talk soon!
